Beaver Brook Association

Mission Statement

The mission of the Beaver Brook Association is to stimulate public awareness of interrelationships in the natural world and the need for conservation of natural resources, and to further this purpose through education and land stewardship.

Dick Bacon, Beaver Brook Association staff horticulturist, worked with Maple Hill herb gardener volunteer and accomplished artist, Marley Watton, to develop and create a design that would represent the mission of the Association. Mrs. Watton created the pen and ink design that is represented at the top of the navigator bar to the left. The logo represents the wildlife, forestry, and horticulture factors of the mission. This design was presented to the membership in the 1985 summer edition of the Association's newsletter, THE LOG. She gave this design to the Association which they adopted as their logo. *
